Storm alerts
Every tenant gets updates when a named storm threatens.
Your storm checklist
Step 1 · By June 1
Before the season
- Update your contact info so our storm alerts reach you.
- Review your insurance for named-storm wind and flood coverage while in storage.
- Document your vehicle with photos, and keep copies of your registration and policy.
Step 2 · 48–72 hours out
When a storm is forecast
- Watch for our alerts. We text and email every tenant with updates and access info.
- Decide on relocation. Moving inland is the safest choice for many owners.
- Strip and secure. Remove canvas, biminis, loose gear and electronics. Close hatches and awnings.
- Boats: strap the boat to the trailer, and pull the drain plugs if it stays on the trailer.
- RVs & campers: retract slide-outs and awnings, and disconnect the batteries.
Step 3 · Once it passes
After the storm
- Site inspection. We inspect the property and post a status update as soon as it's safe.
- Access reopens. We'll text you as soon as the site is cleared.
- Check your vehicle. Photograph any damage and contact your insurance carrier.
